Kwassui’s Name and Ethos
The name Kwassui means “living water.” It comes from Jesus’s conversation with the Samaritan woman
at the well, as recorded in John 4 in the New Testament.
“KWASSUI” － “LIVING WATER”
Jesus said: “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is asking you for a drink,
you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”
John 4:10
ACCORDING TO OUR FOUNDING DOCUMENTS:
The purpose of Kwassui is the provision of higher education for women, based on Christianity.
In order to fulfil this purpose, we will foster a broad education with international perspectives
along with a high level of specialist knowledge, while opening up a vista of life-long learning,
raising up people who are able to contribute to the welfare and development of both the local
area and human society.
